Your Own Radio Station
Do you want to expand the reach of your event? add a new dimension to a festival? Install radio as a learning school in your youth centre or club or add an extra dimension to your website using live or prerecorded radio.
AudioMint can setup all kinds of radio projects, we’ve over 60 years of radio experience in installation, broadcasting, production and training. From a short term radio station on FM (known as an RSL) through the internet to a permanent radio station we’ve done them all!
We’ll guide you through the necessary paperwork, licencing and hire or purchase of equipment. We’ll help you recruit volunteers or paid staff and advise you on programming and content.
We can design, install and train budding DJ’s for all types of groups. We recently installed an internet radio station and studio at a new £5m Youth Centre in Manchester. This will give the young people of the area the opportunity to express themselves and provide them with new transferrable skills in an interesting and entertaining way.
We run ChorltonFM a radio station that promotes the Chorlton Arts Festival and provides an additional performance space for two weeks from a shop front in the local precinct.
in 2011 During it’s 14 day broadcast it hosted 110 live acts including a 21 member choir, numerous live bands and staged 10 live radio plays. Shows were presented by local volunteers including a number of 8-11 year olds from the local theatre school and 2 local high schools.
In October 2010 Chorlton Arts Radio was shortlisted for a TalkTalk Digital Hero Award, a national competition to recognise the work of groups who bring about social change using digital technology. AudioMint owner Dave Murat was one of three people selected in the NorthWest that the public voted for.
